We chose this restaurant for our wedding rehearsal dinner in July. It was a fantastic choice -- well loved by all guests for food, atmosphere & service! The wonderful owner, Mike, closed down the restaurant in order to accommodate our 30 or so guests. He and his staff prepared a locally-inspired 3-course menu with 2 delicious salad options (romaine heart or pecan,strawberry & feta), 3 options for the main course (miso salmon, chicken, and apricot-stuffed pork), and our two favourite desserts buttertarts and key lime pie. They also included tea and coffee and served wine that we provided at a very reasonable corkage fee. The presentation was gourmet and several guests independently approached the chef about the chicken recipe! The pork and pecan/strawberry/feta salad were also huge hits, as were the desserts. The restaurant space itself is beautiful - high ceilings, big windows and wooden floors. Our guests came from Nova Scotia, Toronto, Ottawa and Seattle and this restaurant was a great way to showcase Orillia. The service was excellent -- quick without being rushed, attentive and polite. In advance of the dinner, the owner and staff consulted with us about the pricing, menu, and set up and the dinner followed all of the details that we wished without a hitch. We definitely recommend this restaurant for this type of event and will make sure to stop in for a bite next time we are in Orillia! ..More Reviews
